Some 150 delegates attended recent Dieselcare '80 Seminar at the New York Hilton Hotel. At lectern greeting opening session is moderator Perry W. Nelson, executive vice president of M. Rosenblatt & Son, Inc.
This year's successful edition of the popular Dieselcare Seminars that are sponsored by Shipcare & Maritime Management was held recently at the New York Hilton Hotel. In a departure from previous years, the general theme of the two-day conference was based on the experience of American shipowners with medium- and slow-speed diesel engines, including operations, maintenance, fuels, training, spares, and other aspects.
Moderators for the four sessions were: Perry W. Nelson, executive vice president, M. Rosenblatt & Son; Barry K. Brown of Worth Shipping Services; Robert J. Bazzini, Eastern Region marketing manager, Transamerica Delaval; and Professor S.G. Christensen of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The final session concluded with a panel discussion, "Coping With Fuel Quality Problems."
