    Hydranautics, Inc. has announced a multipurpose hydraulic lifting technique used successfully by Chicago Bridge & Iron to raise a 1,050-ton deck section 100 feet in under eight hours during construction of a semisubmersible rig for World Drilling Company.

    The 90-foot, 300-ton tug Paul A. Wronowski, built by Thames Shipyard in New London, is the first U.S. boat powered by Cummins KTA-3067M engines and will service the U.S. Naval Submarine Base at Groton, Conn.
