   The twin 225-foot superseiners Sea Chase and Chiriqui II were christened at Peterson Builders in Sturgeon Bay, Wis. Both 1,200-ton seiners carry Hughes 500 helicopters and are managed by Tuna Fleet Management, Inc., San Diego.

7. $400 Million To Be Spent On Newfoundland Offshore Oil Drilling This Year

   Newfoundland's Minister of Development, the Honorable Neil Windsor, told business editors in New York that $400 million will be spent drilling for oil off Newfoundland this year, with production expected by 1987, and outlined other provincial development opportunities.

   Halter Marine has delivered the Brett Candies, first of six 105-foot hybrid tug/tug-supply vessels for Otto Candies, Inc. The vessel combines features of a tug and a tug/supply vessel and is now working in the Gulf of Mexico.

9. Hvide Delivers First Two Catug Vessels To Occidental Petroleum

   Hvide Shipping has handed over the Oxy Trader and Oxy Producer, the first two of three Avondale-built 42,260-dwt Catug integrated tug/barge units for Occidental Petroleum, designed to carry super phosphoric acid.
