   The Energy Freedom coal barge was christened by New England Electric System officials at Bay Shipbuilding Corp.; the 550-foot deep-notch tug barge will carry coal from Eastern Seaboard ports to New England generating stations.

10. A Report On ASNE Day 1981

    More than 2,000 persons attended the 1981 national meeting of the American Society of Naval Engineers in Washington, D.C., themed 'Naval Design and Engineering—New Dimensions.' Rear Adm. James W. Lisanby gave the keynote, Adm. James D. Watkins the luncheon address, and five awards were presented at the banquet, where Dr. Robert A. Frosch spoke.
