M. Okubo, president of Japan Line (U.S.A.) Ltd., recently announced the appointment of Leo E. Kowalski as executive vice president and managing director, and Laurence L. Bear as senior vice president of the corporation.
Mr. Kowalski played a role in the line's initial organization and development in 1970 and its reorganization in 1980. Mr. Bear joined Japan Line as sales manager in 1970, and since 1979 has served as vice president and general manager. He is also a director of the line and is a director and secretary-treasurer of the Los Angeles Container Terminal Co., Inc.
Japan Line (U.S.A.) Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Line, Ltd., Tokyo, and serves as general agent throughout the U.S. and Canada.
